The Gossen Majosix is a selenium cell spot darkroom exposuremeter for darkroom purposes used by enlargement of pictures with the aid of an enlarger. On top of the meter sits a small lamp with a red filter for meter read-out. The lamp can be switched via a push button switch at the end of the meter, close to the lamp mounts. produced from 1953 until the early 1960s when it got replaced by the CdS controlled Labosix. It still works fine only a correction factor is needed for the modern fast fotopapers. The sensor has a movable shield either for spot measurement or , when removed, the whole sensor is used.
